EXPLORING RESILIENCE – SF quests!

Sosnowiec, Poland

15-17 Sept. 2023

We are honored to invite you to the annual (28th) Conference of the European Brief Therapy Association (EBTA), which this year will be held in Poland, in Sosnowiec, on 15th-17th September 2023.

The theme of this year’s Conference is EXPLORING RESILIENCE – SF quests!

We will explore how a solution-focused brief therapy (approach) promotes the creation of spaces and contexts that enhance the remedial potential of clients who face the after-effects of difficult experiences. We also would like to highlight the topic of „help the helpers”, i.e., how helpers can also take care of themselves. The topic seems to us particularly significant when many specialists reacting to Russia’s attack on Ukraine undertook the difficult task of working with crisis intervention strategies, trauma, and loss. Part of the specialists, who help others, are refugees from Ukraine and victims of the war.

We deeply hope that the 28th Conference of the European Brief Therapy Association will be a place for meetings, exchanging experiences, and mutual learning for specialists from Poland, , and all over Europe.  We are looking forward to meet specialists from Ukraine who are currently working in Poland.

Soon we will launch a website dedicated to the conference, where detailed information will be available about conference agenda, the accommodation offers with preferential prices, and means of transport to get there.

Important: call for ideas!

We invite you to submit your activities – conducting workshops, open-spaces, lectures, presentations. We also hope to collect the materials in the form of a book – a brochure. Maybe you are ready to write an article, share your knowledge and experience in this way?

Please feel invited: apply (write a few words about yourself, send a photo, topic and description of the workshop / presentation). We are waiting for you – together we will co-construct our Conference!
